The Spiel Store: Streamlining Repetitive Explanations and Risks

The Spiel Store in DigitalTCO is designed to simplify repetitive explanations, risks, and standard details that you often communicate to patients. Instead of copying and pasting pre-written content or filling out repetitive sections manually, the Spiel Store allows you to set up voice-triggered snippets that can be added seamlessly into your notes.

What is the Spiel Store?

The Spiel Store is where you store common explanations, discussions, and information that you use with patients regularly. Whether it’s discussing periodontal disease or covering treatment risks, these are your well-rehearsed, essential explanations that you could perform in your sleep. With the Spiel Store, you’ll save time by instantly adding these explanations into your notes, without needing to type them out or manually insert them each time.

Setting Up Your Spiels

There are two main ways to add content to your Spiel Store:

  1. Recording Your Explanation:

For the most accurate setup, record your explanation directly in DigitalTCO. Simply hit the record button and deliver your standard explanation as you would to a patient. This will capture your wording exactly as you say it, ensuring consistency and accuracy in your notes.

  2. Copy and Paste Text:

If you already have a pre-written version of your explanation, you can copy and paste it into the Spiel Store. This is a quick way to populate your spiels, although recording is recommended for capturing the exact language you use with patients.

Using Trigger Words for Quick Insertion

Each entry in the Spiel Store is associated with a trigger word—a specific phrase that tells DigitalTCO to insert that spiel into your notes. Here’s how it works:

  1. Choose a Trigger Word:

Select a clear, memorable phrase that will prompt DigitalTCO to insert the corresponding spiel. For example, for a periodontal disease explanation, your trigger could be something like "Periodontal Discussion" or "Periodontal Disease Explained."

  2. Use the Trigger in Notes:

Within DigitalTCO, simply say the trigger word (e.g., "Periodontal Disease Explained"), and DigitalTCO will pull in your saved explanation from the Spiel Store and add it to your notes. This applies to SuperDentist Cheat Mode, exam notes, and treatment notes.

Examples of Common Spiels

You can use the Spiel Store for various types of information, including:

  • Treatment Risks:

Examples include "Crown Prep Risks" or "Root Canal Risks." Instead of listing these out manually, simply use the trigger word, and the spiel will populate in your notes.

  • Radiograph Settings:

Store standard settings for radiographs, such as kilovolts and seconds, with triggers like "Bitewing Radiograph," "Periapical Radiograph," or "OPT Radiograph." When you mention the radiograph type in your notes, DigitalTCO will insert the technical details automatically.

Advanced Usage: Chaining Spiels for Detailed Notes

The Spiel Store can hold an unlimited number of entries, allowing you to chain together multiple spiels for highly detailed notes. By combining trigger words like "Crown Prep Risks" and "Periodontal Disease Explained," you can build comprehensive notes quickly, covering all essential details and explanations.

Manual Insertion from the Risk Bank

If you find that a risk or explanation does not appear automatically in your notes, you can still add it manually:

  1. Access the Risk Bank:

Open the chatbot in the corner of your screen and select Risk Bank.

  2. Copy and Paste the Risk:

Click on the desired risk in the Risk Bank to copy it to your clipboard, then paste it into your notes using Ctrl+V.

Conclusion

The Spiel Store is a powerful tool for ensuring consistency, efficiency, and accuracy in your documentation. By setting up commonly used explanations and details, you’ll save time and maintain a high standard in your patient records. The combination of voice-triggered spiels and customizable trigger words makes the Spiel Store a unique and invaluable feature of DigitalTCO.
