How to Add and Customize Templates in DigitalTCO

Customizing DigitalTCO is incredibly simple, allowing you to tailor the system to your specific needs. Follow this guide to quickly add or edit templates in DigitalTCO.


Step 1: Access the Customise Section

  1. Navigate to the sidebar on the left-hand side of your screen.
  2. Click on Templates.
  3. Select Templates from the drop down menu.

Step 2: Explore the Template Tabs

Within the "Your Templates" section, you will see several tabs across the top. These tabs organise your templates by category:

  • Exam Templates: Templates for examination notes or consultations.
  • Treatments Templates: Templates for treatment notes.
  • Local Anaesthetic: Store and manage local anaesthetic batch numbers and expiry dates.
  • Custom Forms: Templates for consent forms and other custom forms.
  • Letter Sections: Stock information about the types of treatment that may be related or patient specific to their treatment.
  • Cariespondence: Templates for patient letters and correspondence.

Each tab contains simple text fields that you can easily modify.


Step 3: Add a New Template

  1. Navigate to the appropriate tab for the type of template you want to add (e.g., Exams, Treatments).

    Click the Create New Template button.

    Enter your desired content in the provided text field.

    • Remember to follow best practices for templates, such as using clear headings and avoiding blanks or multiple-choice fields.

Step 4: Edit Existing Templates

  1. Locate the template you wish to modify within the relevant tab.
  2. Click on the template to open and edit it.
  3. Make the necessary changes to align with your workflow.
  4. Save your updates to apply them immediately.
