How to Use DigitalTCO Mobile Mode

DigitalTCO’s Mobile Mode is a simplified tool designed primarily for recording transcripts when you’re on the go. While it’s not a full-fledged version of the platform, it can be a handy solution in specific scenarios. Here’s how to make the most of it.

Getting Started with Mobile Mode

  1. Use Google Chrome
    • DigitalTCO does not work on Safari, so ensure you’re using Google Chrome on your phone or tablet.
    • Note: Mobile Mode is not fully compatible with iPads.

      Recording a Transcript

    • Open DigitalTCO in Google Chrome.
    • Press the Record button to start recording your input.
    • Press Stop when you’re done.

      Processing Your Note

    • Once you’ve recorded the transcript, it will be saved.
    • To create the note, log into DigitalTCO on a desktop or laptop.
    • Go to the Notes List, locate your recording, and process it into a full note or letter.

Best Use Cases for Mobile Mode

  • Quick Recordings on the Go:

Perfect for jotting down thoughts or notes when you’re out and about.

    Unexpected Situations:

    • Internet outage at the practice.
    • Recording while commuting (e.g., dictating notes during the drive home).

Limitations of Mobile Mode

  • No Live Appointment Recordings:

Mobile Mode isn’t designed for real-time recordings during appointments. For such use, we recommend a desktop or laptop with a decent lapel microphone.

  • Basic Functionality Only:

While you can record transcripts on mobile, all advanced features—like creating notes and letters—must be done on a desktop or laptop.

Recommended Microphones

For better recording quality, especially during live appointments, consider using a high-quality lapel microphone. See our list of recommendations at:
