Understanding Microphone Buttons & their functions in DigitalTCO
DigitalTCO offers different microphone buttons for various recording functions, making it easy to control and manage your voice recordings. Here’s a breakdown of what each button does:
Microphone Control Buttons
- Microphone Button (Start Recording):
- The Microphone button allows you to begin recording.
When recording starts, a green banner will appear on your screen, indicating that the microphone is active and capturing audio.
Pause Button (Pause Recording):
- The Pause button temporarily stops the recording.
- When paused, a yellow banner will be displayed, signalling that recording has been paused.
To resume recording, press the Play button again, and the banner will return to green. It is also the only option you have to press when you have paused the recording.
Stop Button (End Recording):
- Pressing the Stop button will end the recording session completely.
Once stopped, a red banner will appear, indicating that recording has been terminated.
Add Button (+) (Append to Existing Transcript):
- If you need to add more information to an existing transcript, click the plus (+) button.
- This allows you to continue speaking and seamlessly append additional details to your transcript.
Visual Indicators
To make it easier to track recording status, DigitalTCO provides color-coded banners:
- Green Banner: Microphone is on and actively recording.
- Yellow Banner: Recording is paused.
- Red Banner: Recording has been stopped.
Think of It Like a Cassette Player
The microphone buttons function similarly to an old cassette player:
- Play starts the recording, just like pressing play on a cassette.
- Pause temporarily halts recording, allowing you to resume later.
- Stop ends the recording completely.
- Add (+) lets you continue recording onto an existing transcript, similar to adding more content to a tape.
By understanding these buttons and their functions, you can efficiently manage your recordings and transcripts in DigitalTCO. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to our support team!
